Our History

History of the Spartanburg Chapter (SC) Chapter of the Links, Incorporated

 

The Spartanburg Chapter of the Links, Incorporated was organized by Julia Spann Long of Union County, South Carolina.  Her vision and dedication to the growth and upgrading of women who believed that an organization of friendship committed to educational, cultural, and civic activities would do much toward making good communities better.

 

This chapter, established September 27, 1975, has made its presence felt in local communities.  It has provided enrichment experiences for youth, support for young artists and foreign families, and personal contributions to local and national organizations.
